Naples, Amalfi Coast, Royal Palace of Caserta (4 days)

Day 1: Arezzo

Early morning departure for Campania. Stop in Arezzo for a free visit to the beautiful Tuscan city. Free lunch and a continuation of the journey. Hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 2: Naples – Veiled Christ – Underground Naples

Breakfast. Day of guided tour in Naples, one of the largest and most enchanting cities in the Mediterranean: Piazza del Plebiscito with the Royal Palace, Castel Nuovo, Galleria Umberto I, the San Carlo Theater, Spaccanapoli. Free lunch. In the afternoon you can visit Underground Naples and the Veiled Christ in the San Severo Chapel. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

 

Day 3: Pompeii – Amalfi Coast

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning guided tour of the Archaeological Excavations in Pompeii, known throughout the world for the tragedy that struck it in 79 AD, when the rich Roman city was buried by the eruption of Vesuvius, together with Stabiae, Oplontis and Herculaneum. Free lunch. In the afternoon excursion to the Amalfi Coast by boat round trip from Salerno to Amalfi for a guided tour. In the end, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 4: Royal Palace of Caserta

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, guided tour of the Royal Palace of Caserta and the Park registered on the Unesco World Heritage List in 1997. Designed in the eighteenth century by Luigi Vanvitelli, the Royal Palace, which represents the triumph of Italian Baroque, is one of the most important works of the famous Neapolitan architect. At the end of the return trip with a stop for free lunch. Arrival expected in the evening.

Capri and the Grand Tour of Campania (5 days)

Day 1: Orvieto

Early morning departure for Campania. Stop in Orvieto (from the bus park to the historic centre it is necessary to use the funicular with a ticket to be paid on the spot about € 2 each way). We recommend an individual visit to the Duomo among the most majestic achievements of Italian architecture and its imposing Gothic facade, with mosaics and bas-reliefs and the chapel of San Brizio, famous for the cycle of frescoes with Stories of the last days, completed by Luca Signorelli in 1499-1502. Continuation of the journey to Campania. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 2: Amalfi Coast – Salerno

Breakfast at the hotel. Guided excursion day on the Amalfi Coast. Transfer to Salerno and boarding by boat for Positano suspended between sky and sea as it develops along the slopes of the mountain that overlooks it. Continue to Amalfi by boat for free lunch and a visit to the Duomo. Return to Salerno by boat. In the evening dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 3: Capri

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the guide and departure by hydrofoil to / from for an excursion to Capri. Guided tour using local minibuses. The splendid island of Capri is located in the Tyrrhenian Sea, in front of the Sorrento peninsula: tuff houses, terraced roofs, arches, pergolas, winding streets that emerge on Piazza Umberto I, the “Piazzetta” gathered around the cafes from which to enjoy the splendid view on Marina Grande. Day 4: Pompeii – Naples

Day 4: Vesuvius – Pompeii
